TECHNOLOGY

The 4th Generation IntraLase laser works with microkeratome speed and laser precision.

This is a 100% blade-free approach to creating the corneal flap, the thin flap of tissue that the doctor folds back in order to perform the LASIK procedure

This technology preserves biomechanical stability, increases precision, enhances safety, and improves outcomes of the LASIK procedure.

While microkeratomes are safe and provide good results in LASIK eye surgery, the degree of accuracy achieved with IntraLase is unprecedented in flap creation technology.

By replacing the blade commonly used for corneal flap creation with a femtosecond laser, IntraLase® has made LASIK eye surgery safer than ever before.

The IntraLase laser delivers micron-level accuracy 100% greater(1,2) than a microkeratome for more accurate and consistent flap thickness—which is critical for a successful LASIK outcome.

The WaveScan® technology captures the unique imperfections in your vision that could not have been measured and corrected before.

This gives your doctor treatment options that are truly individualized to your visual need.

WaveScan technology produces a detailed map of your eye – much like a finger print, no two are alike.

This new level of measurement provides 25 times more precision than standard measurement used for glasses and contact lenses.

Your treatment information is then transferred to the VISX STAR S4TM Excimer Laser, providing a new level of precision and accuracy guiding your CustomVueTM procedure.

The VISX STAR S4TM Excimer Laser combines Variable Spot Scanning (VSSTM) and ActiveTrak® 3-D Eye Tracking along with the WaveScan providing your doctor with the best possivle treatment options for you.

The Zywave® II Wavefront measures your complete optical system providing a complete analysis of the eye’s corneal optical system.

The system provides patient-specific analysis that leads to patient-specific solution.

The diagnostic information will integrate both topographic and wavefront diagnostic information for personalized laser vision correction.

This technology aims to eliminate irregular focus to the finest details to create a superior optical system, capable of producing “supervision”.

Your treatment information is then transferred to the Bausch & Lomb Technolas® 217z Zyoptix™ Excimer Laser.

The cool ultra-violet light laser re-shapes the cornea with the latest flying spot technology combined active eye tracker and iris recognition technology that saves corneal tissue and reduces further the risk of night vision aberrations.
